I always go and look at the critters in Pets at Home. Especially the rats and the giant rabbit.

I'd have a menagerie if I could, but don't have the time. And I'm not allowed a cat as Ian hates them!

So I have the dog, the plants and my bird table.

much better little guys than mice or hamsters!!!!!

Completely agree Janis. We trained the ratlets... makes it fun... and they're so intelligent! Smile
I didnt realise you and Kendal had once had rats.... its not really something people talk about to be fair.... most think its weird lol

I had 3 rats as pets about 10 tears ago, I loved them!
I'd always get a rat instead of a hamster, quite like mice too.

Colin HATED the rats though, I'm banned from getting any more, got ferrets in the garden now, they're great fun!!! Will need to look out some pics...

When Allan had the pet shop, our rats were great, loads of folk came in terrified then appeared a few days later to buy them, we wandered about the shop with them on our shoulders and they were so handled from tiny so really tame, but i would say mostly, especially the big pet shops, no one has the time or experience to handle them.

We had a Reggie and a Ronnie too, Kendal...our bad boys who came from a lab Smile

there tails are like silk when they are baby's, they go kinda scaly when they mature, Inca loved our last wee rat, she used to give him kisses, but she loves all animals need to film her with our cat Murphy Laughing

Sorry, not for me, especially as i have my own wee Ratatouille in Jay! Twisted Evil
They are cute, and i can see why people would have them as pets, but i doubt i could get used to them!?
