It is a relative of the Australian Dingo. It is able to howl like a wolf and they have an appearance of a fox......

one of the oldest Japanese breeds, bred for hunting and as a watch dog.

nope
this breed is assumed to have some relation the the chow chow as many of this breed have a blue-black tongue, it was bred for hunting mostly big game especially bears.
