This morning we took my daughter (6yrs).

We were having a cup of tea just before heading out and heard screams from the living room. Ya know the ones you are quite sure aren't wolf cries. Walk in to find her on the floor with blood pouring from her hand.

Seems her and her brother were playing. She had to get past him to win. He left his leg out, she got past fell over his leg and whacked her chin off a chair behind him

Her top teeth have gone into her bottom lip and somehow she scraped her top gums back and split part of them

OH BOY! Off to A&E where they give her some amorophine check her over and refer her to a facial and teeth specialist at monklands hospital. During this time I nearly faint twice trying to keep my head and take her pain away.

She now has three stitches in her bottom lip. He was going to pull down the gum and stitch that too but he wasn't sure how much good it would do...and when she kicked off at the idea of having another jag to numb it he said no.

We got to go to dentist this week so he can look over things and see the damage for her records. She may have damaged her adult teeth but until she starts to loose her baby teeth we won't know what if anything has been damaged.

She may need further surgery to make her lip look 'nicer' depending on how it heals.
Her older brother is being very very nice to her!

Wee Ash was ever so upset by it all bless him. He had extra big cuddles for her when she got back. Here is to quieter Sundays!

Oh that sounds painful! Poor girl. Sad

Emily fell when she was about 2 years old, her teeth went through her bottom lip. She has a small scar that is only just visible now when you look for it. The natural curl of her bottom lip hides it a bit. Thankfully no damage to adult teeth ............. so fingers crossed your daughter will be as lucky! Wink

its her first nasty looking accident

She has previously busted her eyebrow open sliding on a laminated floor into the corner of the skirting board at a friends house. That needed three stitches too Crying or Very sad But it was a clean split if you know what I mean?

Not like what she done this time! Her gums are healing up. We off to the dentist this afternoon so she can take a looksee. Her lip is scabbing up too. She can't brush her teeth so I got antiseptic mouthwash that I put on her teeth with a cotton bud.

The women in my family are very clumsy. My mum, my sister, my niece and me all done similar stuff Rolling Eyes In fact my niece is just off crutches.
Heres to hoping this is her last accident tho.

I made some chicken vege soup which she likes. Is really the only thing she can eat at the moment!

ouch!!

Cassandra, it is probably one of many visits to casualty. I have been so often with my son that some staff have asked me if I work there! The car knows it's own way there too. Confused

she is doing really well. Her gums are just about back to normal. Slightly tender sometimes when she is eating but otherwise okay.

Her lip is doing really nicely too....we off to the dentist this afternoon and hopefully she can have her swimming lesson tonight

Matt Busby leisure centre in Bellshill.

Just back from dentist. He thinks her top two teeth have died. So when her gums have healed completely and her lip is better they going to see if they will come out.

Can't leave them in too long as they could cause infection and we don't want to upset her adult teeth any more than has been done.

She's at the age when they would be falling out soon anyway...but she is a bit upset. Told her not to wish so hard next time. it was only a few weeks ago she was complaining that she was the only one in her class who hadn't lost a tooth yet!
