One of my cats got out on thur night and hasn't been seen since Crying or Very sad I have hunted all around the gardens for 2 days and nothing.

She is a house cat and the few times she has got out, we have always got her the next day, she usually hides under things in the garden but this time she is nowhere to be seen, she wont come when called as she is scared so its a matter of me finding the hiding place

Shirley, does she like tinned tuna. I have gone up and down the whole street tapping a tin of tuna and saying 'tuna tuna' and leaving wee bits about the place - and on occassion I have heard my cat tootsie crying from a distance - but she does know what tuna is and loves it - does your cat have a special food and does she identify with the name. - she is terrified of the dogs and when we put her out she just will not come back - so we have stopped forcing her to go out.

I hope the cat turns up soon

Nope, she is a bit like Pixel, as long as its food Smile but no she has only ever been out twice before and just hides once she gets past the back steps. I have been shouting and straining my ears listening and walking the whole cul de sac and the fields beyond

Shirley send me a picture you should be able to access my hotmail and I will keep a look out i live in Condorrat so if she's been wandering through the fields she could end up near me easily, she could easily have got carried away with the field mice as they have been cutting the fields for hay recently and all the loose cuttings have dried out, Dora is always sniffing about jummping on the grass like she ahs caught something.

Shirley, I hope you get the cat back. There is nothing worse than losing a pet, it's the not knowing what has happened. Although to cheer you up.................... my daughters cat went missing for three weeks we were all devastated. Then a neighbour told her about a woman a few doors away who had taken in a cat. It was Clover living in the lap of luxury!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When taken home she almost immediately packed her wee hanky and moved back in with the neighbour. This happened a few times so now my daughter has visiting rights

Confused

i hope you find your cat soon, but to give you a wee bit more hope , my mum took in a cat a few years ago that we thought was a stray as he had blood all over his neck, after a few days of not leaving our garden we took him in and tried to help him. turns out it was our neighbors cat who lives 5 doors down who had spent the last 2 months looking for him, seen him one day sitting outside our window. turns out they had recently got two new dogs, the cat didn't like them( we think that it was the dogs that attacked him giving him the cuts when we first seen him as the vet said it was a dog attack) and he was a cat that loved all the attention to be his and still does . So we gave him back to our neighbor only to find him half an hour later back at ours. they continued to take him home when they seen him, and we stopped feeding him so he went home but it wasnt to be, and to cut a long story short he has now been ours for the past 8 years, he just never went home even though he was dragged back a few times by them. Its true when they say some cats pick their owners Very Happy
your cat could have been taken in by someone trying to help, i really hope you find her soon
