Bones

[Gaelle]

Cuthbert had his first real bone this weekend. It is/was a large knuckle joint and he was so funny. He knew it was going to be nice but it took him a while to figure out how to deal with it. He looked at it carefully, licked it then stared at it for a while, daring it to strike back. later he played a game of "Chuck over the verandah and someone will get it". I put it away overnight and this morning he turned up his nose at his dried food in favour of his bone. He now has worked out exactly how to deal with it and I have never seen him so supremely content AND he's not possessive which means I can guide him and bone back outside easily if he brings it indoors. One happy dog!

Buster loves bones our local butcher gives him one every saturday. The only thing is if he gets a chance he hides it in the garden and a few weeks later a very dirty smelly bone will appear in the living room.

Our middle girl dug up a very large very smelly bone tonight, i had to wash her face before letting her back in the house. Think I may take a bag up the garden tomorrow and dispose of it
