Im not watching it, but heard lots about it. I agree Janis, doesnt sit too well with me. Whether that be because ive not had kids myself or anything then im not sure.

A point that was put across is why would people be happy to feed cows milk... which is from another species, but not human milk? Good point really.... although my gag reflex doesnt think so! lol

I know lots of parents think its ok to breastfeed when the child is older... but i also think they need to take in to account what the child may say when at school... which might initiate bullying and/or ridicule!

Its a weird one!

it doesn't really bother me, wet nurses have been used for century's, and im guessing if you have a very demanding baby ,feeding wise a little help would be a god send.

however i do think that past the age of two breast feeding has no extra health benefit to the child.

It was quite interesting. When you listened to the women and their logic for why they think it's a good thing, you tend to agree with them that it is a bit sad that so many people forget that's what boobs are for because they have been sexualised so much.

I was a bit like Kate, it seemed a lot more normal AFTER the programme than before. I'm not sure about 5 years olds having a sook, but the global average is 4...but in many parts of the world it's either that or die so I dont think you can apply that to western kids who have a much wider nutrition available.

I just think it's sad that people still feel uncomfortable with nursing mothers.

I'm with most of the others here I find it rather gross BUT the whole idea is to give baby the best start in life and they sure are achieving that. I think also that breast feeding after the age of 1 or 2 at a push is a bit ick though!
