After puppy class last week Nicole took Hope the 15 week old Pug up to be chipped.......poor wee thing got such a shock that one of her lungs collapsed Shocked ....I don't know if this is related to the breeds inherent breathing problems.

Yes it is in the back of the neck/loose skin. Will mention it to a friend as she shows/breeds Pugs.

I had a pup a few years ago done early but would not do it again. Poor little pup screamed for ages, even the vet looked worried. I left Harvey until he was 6 months and he took it all in his stride - don't think he even noticed it Very Happy

Hi everyone, thank you for your comments.

We got hope home on friday and she is on the mend. She is on antibiotics for the next week and we have to be very careful not give her any frights or over excite her as her lung is still weak. The vet said that the reason it happened is due to her breed, when she got chipped she got such a fright that she couldn't get a breath and her lung collapsed poor wee soul. We're just so happy to have her home, last week was awful without her.

Janice thank you so much for the keyring and liver cake that was lovely of you, hope definitely appreciated it, she loves liver cake.

We hope to be back at puppy classes very soon
