my father in law has a tropical tank .............. unfortunately I have no idea what any of the fish in it are! Confused

apart from the guppies............very therapuetic to watch isn't it. I have a slight phobia with fish Embarassed

not when they're in a tank mind you .............. but when they're near my feet when in the sea............... oh god, got shivers thinking about that!!!!! Shocked

marcella I have to admit I dont handle the fish, hate it when its my shot to clean the big tank as they make me squirm. The big orange and black ones are called Oscars and are very similar to dogs in the behaviour stakes, they beg for food, jump up at you and sulk. I like my goldfish best easier to clean and handle. Razz

oh dear god if that jumped at me for food I'd faint!!!!!!
When we were on holiday a couple of years ago there was a large pond in the reception of the hotel. It had fish and turtles in it. The turtles were the cutest things and I loved watching them. I took bread out one day from the restaurant and was feeding them when one jumped out and snapped just missing my finger tips ......... I nearly died!!!! John and Emily were in hysterics laughing at me ....... I was traumatised!!!
