I've been going to Green's in Falkirk, either Ruth or Margaret. I thought it was expensive until I heard what some other places were charging. Blairgowrie was so cheap, like half the prices here. I know someone else who's moved to this area and she actually drives back to Blair for a hairdo!I heard that Shirley at Shine in Graham's Road Falkirk is good but I'm not sure about prices. I'm going to give her a try but if you find someone really good who doesn't charge the earth do let us know. _________________ Janice and Dale |

It depends what you are prepared to pay. A poor haircut is very depressing.
I remember having one a few years back - went around for 3 months with a bag over my head!! _________________ "My little dog - a heartbeat at my feet" - Edith Wharton |

I went into a salon once and the staff spent the entire time talking to each other about soap operas and the latest celebrity gossip.
Now I cannot say I am the most talkative person when I go in for my hair cut...as I said I like to relax, but hairdresser obviously wasn't paying attention and it took a year to grow my hair out after the mess she cut into it!
I think service is important too. You have to me made a fuss of! |

Agreed Cassandra.
I tried a salon once where the chairs "massaged" your back while your hair was being washed - it was most enjoyable.
Unfortunately, the turnover in stylists was very high so I moved on. _________________ "My little dog - a heartbeat at my feet" - Edith Wharton |

I had a hair do while we were on holiday and she did head massage It was so relaxing. Pity Dingwall's so far away. I even liked the way she cut it. Mike always threatens to leave the country when i go to a new hairdresser. I don't think I'm that fussy.....so I don't know why. _________________ Janice and Dale |

My mate is training as a beautician and I am her willing guinea pig She does the indian head massage and stuff. Unfortunately she been trying out the painful stuff....like leg waxing and nails and eyebrow plucking.
Must remember to demand the massage next time |
