R4 help please ???????????

i got an R4 for the DS for the kids and i don't know how to get it working can anyone HELP PLEASE before i go insane.

its an adapter for a micro SD card so you can download DS games from the internet onto SD then slot it into the game card slot on the DS. In other words , so you can play pirate copies on the DS.

still no joy ............i have managed to download the firmware but i don't know what else i need i think i have got to buy something called Winzip, which is an extraction programme whatever that means?????.

but i am not sure

hi margaret - you can download a free evaluation copy of winzip...

in my experience some of these things are compressed using a similar product - winRAR - this can also be downloaded if required

Margaret, Winzip is software that is used to compress files and, you may find that it is already installed on your PC check your programs list. If not you can easily download it from the net.

XP will unzip folders simply by double clicking them.

If it's RAR files though you will need to download something.

how do i know if its a RAR folder .......i downloaded the software and when i try to open it says windows cannot open this folder ??????????

RAR is a pain the oh I swore... ZIP is built in, no need to download it...
if stuck, ring john or emily and she charges double what you are thinking per hour lol
