Thats Ollie gone.

He didnt have a good day on Saturday, but perked up yesterday. When I came down this morning he had been bleeding from his back end, so that decided it.

He was 12 and didnt give us any trouble all his life. Not bad for a dog who had 3 homes before us.

Hek is quiet but OK, just us humans that are in bits.

It was a privilege to know you Ollie, give Ben a slobber when you see him at the bridge.

Oh Lisa, I am desperately desperately sorry to read this.

I had hoped you'd have him for a while longer Crying or Very sad

This is the most horrendous time but you can hold your head high knowing you did what was best and right - he's not suffering now, he's at the Bridge. YOU however are suffering greatly, my thoughts are with you. If ever you need to talk just shout.

BIG hugs to you all, so sorry again for your loss.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

was in a meeting when i got the text. had to go to the toilet and lock myself in a cubicle for 5. never thought his passing would affect me as much, but it has.

He was such a brilliant dog from a young pup to the last time I seen him. always such a big sook and Always happy to see you.

he'll be remembered for seeing him in the passenger seat of Colin's van really happy to be going to work with his dad, the highly luminous properties of his slabber - the term "you've been ollie'd" will always secretly be in my vocabulary.

More recently remembered for being a big brother to Hek as a pup and quickly becoming a wee-big brother. Predictably, I have a photo of the two taken this summer shortly after Hek had his operation...
LISA - I hope you don't mind me putting this photo up Question

Well as Lisa has mentioned - Ollie had a great, long ,trouble free life and we as a family are honoured to have shared it with him, he will be remembered by me as a happy-go-lucky dog with no issues with anyone or anything.
We used to go out in the van and cover most of Scotland together (he had watered most of Scotlands lay byes before he was 3 and i have never know a dog to be able to lean into high speed corners quite like him!
I remember taking him out as a young dog one Sunday morning down the glen and watching him run riot in the undergrowth before limping out POURING blood from his back leg-he had sliced himself on a torn beer can ! In seconds i had ripped out the inside lining of my jeans pocket and wrapped it tight -Lisas colour left her face as the two of us appeared bloodsoaked at the door of our flat -Do you know how much vets charged to stitch on a Sunday ?? Who Cares- we didnt have much money but Ollies repair bill would have been paid regardless....

Good Night mate and thanks for everything !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Colin Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Very touching tribute to an obviously wonderful dog. As you say - you were honoured to have had him in your home and hearts as he was honoured to have had you as his pack leaders. Take comfort in that and each other.x.
