Weird huh? We had a member of our forum in Devon with a Lab with chronic arthritis - that's what made me search specifically there - you know where to go now if Tara ever gets arthritic Smile

I just thought I would ask for help with advice on the collars for her. It's better writing it to tell people than meet them in tesco and bubble. "Aunty Kirsty is the best !!!!!" : (that was Mish shouting, I just translated for her) Laughing

You must be feeling really rough to hear that. You were talking of alternative treatments, from past experience I would say homoeopathy can work well and a good homoeopathic vet would recommend supplements etc, magnetic collars as already mentioned and acupuncture for pain control and easing of symptoms. The vet who did acupuncture works through Glasgow Vet School but is not purely acupuncture, also advises on other methods of pain control. These measures did help in our case. Acupunctre and homoeopathic treatment are done as referrals via your vet and can if required and your policy if you have one, be paid for by pet insurance.
Good luck.

Poor Mishka, our Buster's favourite girl.
Our daughter has a GSD with bad hip problems the Vet school were going to give her new hips but she is too jumpy for the op so instead she was put on glucosamine and a low fat diet and Claire bought a magnetic coller, it did help. She' s ten now and age is catching up with her but she still has that fighting spirit.
Kisses to Mishka from Buster.

Whoops sorry Deborah, didn't realise that. Some of those sites might give some useful leads to you though?

I'll keep looking and if I find anything else I'll post - please just disregard what you have already checked or already know.

Jack thanks so very much. I havent actually looked at all those sites and a few were really interesting that I have looked at so far. Smile
