Muddy Buddy is starting to smell really bad!
I've used what was left of the shampoo the breeder gave me when we got him - so the brand escapes me.
Is their any particular type of dog shampoo I should by or are they all much a muchness!?!?
Thanks in advance.

I only ever use Malaseb on my girls due to their sensitive skins. Available only on prescription from the vets sorry Colin _________________ Staffies are my life! Visit us at www.staffies.co.uk |

Otto has quite a sensitive skin, but we just use mild shampoo from Pets at Home...key is to not use masses of it and rinse thoroughly.
I probably bath him more than I should but he's in and out of mud and water so much, when I can't bear the smell, he's in the bath.
He's sometimes a bit flaky the day after, but I give him a good brush and he also gets his Evening Primrose oil so have few problems with his skin (well apart from the fact he has cuts on a regular basis) |

Thanks folks.
You can never be too careful...
I used to use Tesco's own brand which retailed at 99p for a gallon whereas Debra uses some 'moisture infuser' with a 'reconstructor' that apparently "restores the manageability and shine" which costs something like £14 for each 75ml bottle.
Perhaps that's why I have now have no hair
Anyhoo... If Tesco's brand was good enough for me it is good enough for The Budster - he's as shiny as a new pin and smells brand new again.
Off to take him out for a walk to get him all dirty again...

Dave, isn't that only suitable for Old English Sheep Dogs?
I used white dog shampoos for our white Beagle, but Boots baby shampoo for the others. The Great Danes go to the groomer. _________________ Regards,

you may have a point there.... you can get a tray and a roller, so you can either let your small dogs roll around in the tray or roller it on... quite good i hear _________________ Quoting Jack: you know me - a complete hopeless case & Sadly - and mark it in your diaries folks as you won't see this happen often - but <gulp> I HAVE to agree with Dave on this.
