Rather you than me Lynne - I get Mark to do it - it oh I swore STINKS so get a peg for your nose and a sick bag handy!!!! Also - make sure you cover the bum with kitchen paper or similar as it can come out at a hellish speed and splatter all over the place - including all over you!

Oh it's really not Lynne!!!! Very Happy

I was once assisting Mark do Ella's botty - he doesn't need me now she's a good girl and just lets him get on with it - but that one time he didn't position the kitchen paper correctly and it went everywhere - some even hit me, well I haven't the strongest stomach to start with so I said bye bye to my dinner almost immediately - BLEURGH!!!! I'd rather a vet did it - it's the one job I just can't do for my pooches!!! Embarassed

Take care, Lynn. It can be unpleasant. Doing the Danes is no fun.
Vet 'forgot' to do it last time I asked. It is easier to do it after or in the bath I think. Trish did mine last time she bathed them.

How do you know when they need done?

Mind you, I wouldn't do it. I'd be sick. I actually gag at anything that smells gross. And Ian's so cack-handed, it could end up in an unfortunate incident.

Vet would get that job.

Usually they start scooting across the floor incessantly Suzanne and can have trouble going to the toilet. They'll also try to nibble their rear end as it will be uncomfortable for them.

Don't blame you in the slightest for avoiding this job - it's awful!!!! Wink

I know this as I tend to be the one out there with the trowel cleaning up the back garden....the thought of having 2 of them makes me shudder. I will just have to get the boys to do their share.

Fortunately, they are big and solid and don't smell. Specially not when they're frozen... Laughing
