loving your attempt to kick his @ss out the door and get him off the dvd player/ internet/ xbox (delete as appropriate) Laughing

i'll ask around some of the companies I do work with and see if there's anyone looking... you got any idea what he's worked on? domestic, shop fitting, general maintenance... Is he willing to travel etc?

We're also looking to get random bits and pieces done around the house as I'm to lazy busy - internal doors, fencing etc.

PM me details if you want! thumbright

It might be worth registering on some of the tradesman websites. The idea is that people post jobs on there and tradesmen in the area are then invited to quote for the job.

http://www.myhammer.co.uk/

http://www.mybuilder.com/

http://www.workbidder.co.uk/

http://www.myworkman.co.uk/

They usually charge a small fee to the tradesman if your quote for a job is accepted.

i do feel sorry for the big man.
i got made redundant last year and was off for over a month after a nice tax free pay off.
Ali was constantly on my back about not tidying the house etc. She made me sign on even though I had been given a job offer with my current employer.

went into the job centre and told them i had a job offer and was due to start in 4-5 weeks (giving them the letter), but they still got me to go through all the job seekers rubbish, making me available for work etc.
I had to oh I swore fill out a daily diary of how I was looking for work
Quote:
10am - read job section in paper - no jobs, 1pm surfed jobs website- no jobs

then i lost my logbook Rolling Eyes and they threatened me with benefit fraud!!! Laughing Laughing Mad Laughing

I agree with the others, Scott get up to the jobcentre and claim back what you have already paid for
the number of people I see who have never worked a day in their lives, and expect handouts is terrible

we are going to be doing some work in house this year, so will bear scott in mind for a quote
