after months of thinking about the raw diet i have decided to change to it but how much and what would be best for dax as he is growing so fast i am scared he will miss out on important vits and mins that he needs.some people say suppilment the food others not too. one site said only feed meat another said meat and fruit and veg, any advice.

hey, echo has been on raw since 8 weeks old, we feed meet and bones.

i tend to add raw eggs and crush up the egg shell in a pestle and mortar as the shells are a good soars of calcium. i occasionally add vitamin tablets that we got when we first got the girls but i don't use them on a regular basis.

i think its up to you, if you would feel better adding vitamins then go for it, i don't see it doing him any harm. but it sounds good you are doing research.

With the true BARF diet you are meant to add vitamins and minerals to make sure they don't miss out, there's loads to read on the internet. I give my two james wellbeloved in the morning and raw at night so i don't worry about them missing out on any nutrients.
