it is very sad and yeah you're right john only dog owners know the void it leaves............however on the plus side not only did her have a good life with ceasar but it also happened before ceasar left for his tour!.....can you imagine how he would have felt if word came through during his tour!

I get upset even thinking about the time when we'll lose ours and they are only 3 and 9 months so as long as Rudy doesn't fall in any more frozen rivers, we will have many years yet!

They are just with us for too little time though.

My neighbour isn't a dog person, but she was round our house at new year and she saw how well behaved the boys were with her kids and she said to me "I kind of get it now, they are part of your family aren't they"...indeed they are.

Should have seen the state of me when i got Muffins microchip details through and found out how old she was! Still get upset about wee BenJay all the time.

What a great dog, and lived to a great age.
