Rudy has lost another one of his nine lives.....somehow managed to get out of his crate, chew the plug off the telly and short all the electrics. He's fine, but he must have got a shock.
He's already fallen in a frozen canal and jumped on top of a wall with a sheer drop the other side!
Ah well, first year over - it's always the worst. Hopefully he'll calm down a bit...and now I've discovered that the skooshy bottle and the hose works a treat to sort out the constant wrestling...easy street! |

Eek!! Lucky he was OK...we use the skooshy bottle too, Hektor only has to see it and he stops what he is doing!
Millie seems to think she is indestructible, constantly leaping at Hektor and play-biting him, it can escalate into really rough play quite quickly but she keeps coming back for more...I think the hose will be coming out for us too

Otto is just such a brute - now we have a dog walker for them, they are just both so fit and full of beans.
Plus they're both still very young. The wee man is almost the same height but has about 5 or 6 kilos to go yet before he can match his big bro in strength. But Otto senses that he's getting there and is giving him a bit of a hard time at the mo.
Saying that, Otto still gives up his food, his chew or his bed if Rudy wants it. So I think that's very telling. (He bides his time and kicks seven bells out of him later on though) |

Rudy just does what Otto does only without the experience and caution - that's how he gets into trouble. And we forget sometimes that he's not got the experience.
Yes he does still have his tan leg, if anything it stands out more. He'll have it for life now.
I'll get some pics up soon. Rudy's a very handsome boy too - a darker brown and with a bit more white, and of course his white whippy tail.
In some ways they're very similar. But Otto has to be wherever we are, whereas Rudy will go off and lie by himself. Otto's a bit grouchy and stubborn, whereas Rudy is always happy and more affectionate, but a little less confident. (MM wonder if it's a coincidence that Otto probably slight favours Ian and Rudy me haha)
They are stunning when they're both off the lead in their element....ie mud. They're not for the faint-hearted or the lazy that's for sure - or for people who like their own space or a clean house or manicured garden (sigh). |

know how you feel!
My Garden looks like a herd of cattle have stampeded through it at the moment.
Hektor likes to sit on your knee.
I need to clean the floor all day and the walls get marks up to waist height!
Would not be without them though
