Alfies going for his op a week today Guess we won't b back at class when it starts back in august. He'll be out of action for at least 6 weeks or more. Poor wee man. He'll be spoiled between now and then to make up for it. Won't be getting him home until the Friday. Will keep you updated!! |

HA yeah thats the part thats worrying me. still have his crate so will be digging that out. think it may be necessary at the start at least til i can start taking him for short walks.
just hoping things work out and that hes eventually able to use that leg better. |

Alfies finally had his op!!!
took him in this morning and he called a while ago to say all went ok. think it was a much bigger job than they imagined but theyre happy he seems ok. want him to start walking asap really so really short walks to start then after 3wks or so hopefully starting hydrotherapy to help it (good luck to them getting alfie in the water!!!)
im not getting him home until fri evening tho cos only time could get away from work. house is too quiet without him already!! poor boy!
obviously not gonna be at class and the walks for a while, hopefully back as soon as we can cos i think he'll miss it!! |

No I'm working 9-7 tomorrow unfortunately. I will be bugging them by phone tho He'll be getting spoiled by he nurses no doubt knowing Alfie!
I don't know how well the leg will be after. Think will take a long time to build the muscle up on that side cos so long since he used it. Got to be better than he is just now......or the other option which was amputating his leg!!
Oh and Alfie has a huge box full of toys and treats but I did buy him extra chews at the shops today |
