Tash is losing his "baby" teeth ten a penny at the moment. his favourite snack is an ice cube. Lets him crunch as it soothes. adult teeth are coming through.
I know puppy behaviour has them tasting everything, could I be right in the the hope that adolencesence will stop pup picking everything up in his mouth?

Each dog is different but in general spanials were bred to want to carry items. They were bred to flush out birds and they cary the ones that were shot back the the owner. Best thing to do is to work on retreave and drop. That way if he does pick something up you should be able to call him back and get him to give it to you, rather than trying to chase him and ressle it off him.[marq=right][marq=left]

alfie's one now and he still picks everything up. he never swallows them but constantly picking up berries, sticks, stones, sweets, bottle caps....whatever he finds lying around. he is good at giving them up tho so agree with kendal. best to work at getting him to drop them or it becomes like a game!!

Hi Doug

Yip, I agree with the girls best thing to teach him is to give up whatever he has and also to leave it,
For the teething we gave Tia carrots cut in strips and just out the freezer, does the same job as the ice cubes but less mess.
