Just a wee note to update those who were on todays walk.
As you know Inca got covered in wasps after disturbing a nest. I called Kendal and Janis when I got home to see how she was. Janis had left to take Inca to the PDSA on the advice of her own vet. Inca seems OK although uncomfortable and possibly in shock having been stung so many times.

I will call them later for any more news and I'm sure either Kendal or me will update you all later.

Poor wee Inca, hope she's OK very soon. Sad

hi folks!

janis here. . . . just to say a big thank you john, steven suzanne and everyone else who helped me with inca earlier! i couldn't have reacted so quickly without you and i owe you all a drink!

anyway just returned form the pdsa and she is not all allergic to the wasps which is a plus side however she has given herself a knee injury. this is very similar to that of a sports injury and it will require an x-ray but as she is in shock and been traumatized it is not advisable to sedate her at this moment in time!

she has been given a strong pain killer and an anti filamentary injection!! she may still be sick later tonight but not to worry over this and she will be drowsy! all in all she is fine but will see her own vet tomorrow and will be on restricted exercise for a while! the vet commended the smart quick thinking of dunking her in the water! so thanks again folks!

oh and i will launder and get the fleece back to john's parents doctor! many thanks again! as a non drinker i am considering a still double whisky on the rocks!

oh just out of interest she was given metacam and vetergesic in injections and the vet there was fab! in total cost me £113.05 and worth every penny. i will wait until any other medication is done and then i will claim my pet insurance which i am so glad to have, please take note people that it is a valuable asset as a pet owner!

Glad to hear she's doing OK. How's your mum? I think you both deserve a medicinal drink.

The news we have been siting waiting for............hope she has a quiet night.

The knee injury must have been when she was jumping in pain with the stings?

I think you may need a small glass of wine to help you both relax tonight.

Take care.

Really glad to hear that she is ok, everyone was very worried, is lucky she didn't react to the stings. Hope she is back on her feet (or paws Laughing ) soon and back at the walks. Give her a wee cuddle from us. And I think you both need a large drink!! Laughing

just been thinking, i think this weekend has been all about dogs getting into bother. first Murphy hurting one paw then the other, then star hurting his leg, and now Inca running into a wasp nest and hurting her leg Rolling Eyes .

oh and just there i offered Inca a small hand full of hot dogs and she ate them so i see that as a good thing Smile
