The main one is with strangers .. if she has met someone before she is fine & loving & all that .. but if she hasn't met someone its either all happy & tail wagging or she barks & barks & barks & darts away form them, she doesn't try to bite them or anything just barks & barks & barks, but I don't know who she is going to react like what to, so one person can come up & she is perfect & happy then another can come up & she will go crazy Confused

another prob is she is starting to get temperamental with her recall, one day she comes back perfect the next she thinks its all a big game, I try not to grab her collar when she comes over as I know that can make her think its all a game, so I try to get her to sit before putting her back on lead, but some days she won't even come near she comes to about a metre away then darts off again, is it just a stage she will go through ?

Hi Maria,

Make sure that you recall constantly during a walk.....Amber will quickly learn that the walk is to end if that is the only time you recall her.
As for not wanting you to touch her collar.make it a game.......put your hand close to her head....in an excited voice tell her 'yes'......again a little closer, 'yes' and give her a high value food reward......she will quickly let you touch her collar because there is a reward and no 'downside' like getting her lead back on..........she is quickly learning how her world works and how to make the best of it.

Barking at strangers is more difficult........could be pack order or perhaps a little fear or anxiety........you may be tensing up as strangers approach and she is picking up on this.

I will have a chat at class tonight with you .

John
