clearly the lesson wasn't learned last year!......Bl%%dy awful! question is will the person responsible be duly punished.... i very much doubt it! and it won't bring the dogs back, but he should not be able to use his position to lessen any sentence or fine! personally i would like to see him loose his position in the police force and never be allowed to work or keep animals again!....harsh!!! i think not! sorry for the rant!!!

I agree with you Janis, and then some. The punishment should fit the crime. What is the going rate for torture and murder these days?
They must have had a horrendous death; Not a very fitting end for dogs who do the police force and us such an amazing service
Nothing will bring those poor dogs back and I'm sure the person responsible didn't intend for them to die but die they did! I don't think I could function having that on my conscience.

I don't know about you guys but I would think that the head of the Met Dog Training School knows what happens to dogs left in a car like that. That doesn't make it sound like an accident. More like utter negligence and shouldn't go unpunished.

After all, if Joe Public had done the same, I'm sure they could be prosecuted for animal cruelty and possibly be restricted from keeping pets; which in my view still doesn't fit the crime.
NEGLECT IS ABUSE and should be severely dealt with. I hope this one doesn't get swept under the carpet!

I know Janis it's shocking. There are no words strong enough to condemn what he did.

Its so sickening that 2 dogs have suffered so horrendously and that the a!"£$&^ gets away with it and to hear that he previously did this is even worse...obviously he has no remorse, no feeling, no care of any animal.......scary to think, especially when they say animal cruelty and violence to humans is linked Shocked
