Got up this morning to find breagha had managed to steal and eat a whole pack of square sausage I'd left out to defrost for this mornings breakfast. I'd placed them right at back of worktop but she obviously managed to reach them. If I'm preparing food in kitchen if I'm not quick enough she sneaks up behind me, leaps up and steals it from my hand!!! Any idea how to stop this?

Huey used to do this all the time, he's totally stopped now, partly grown out of it and partly through some of our attempts at stopping him. here are a few things we tried.

1. placing limes along the worktop one day...he was not amused after one lick.
2. we set him up by leaving something tasty up there and covertly watching him. when he went for it we frightened the life out of him by clattering oven trays together.
3. never leaving anything remotely dog tasty on the work top. they only have to hit the jackpot once to know its there.

if we could could just stop him drooling all over the place now Laughing
