He sure is that's him 5 months old. He's really started to get hyper & abit destructive tho. The vet advised us to come see them when he was 6 months old to see about getting him neutered but I think we'll be taking him sooner.

Hi,

Dexter was a bit destructive and chewed his way through the corners of tables, rugs, clothes, carpet etc! He got better though about 10 months.

We got through it by tying damp faceclothes in knots then freezing them and that helped soothe his teeth and gums and he LOVED tearing stuff so at least that was an alternative to my cushions!! We also stuffed kongs with meat paste and peanut butter and froze them too. Ruff and Tuff from Pets At Home do good ones too. Dexter always likes ropey chew toys and they do durable ones too. The kong wobblers or a Ruff and Tuff wobbler are also fab at occupying them. Dexter still loves his wobbler and we just break up Smackos or puppy bones as they're cheaper than having to buy the kong treats all the time.

Hope that helps. It certainly helped us get through the destructive stage!!

He kinda has the ridgeback ridge but his mother doesn't have a prominent ridge that's why her owner got her cheaper but he has a darker line right up his back & you can see it better when he's outside if you know what I mean lol.
He has many of the ridgeback traits though & I think he's going to have the ridgeback build & height when he is fully grown but with rottweiler colouring. He gets lots of attention when he are out walking as he is such a handsome dog!
