Hi everyone
Hopefully Mac the 14 week old Beagle and myself will be attending the class on Thursday.
He's generally a calm wee soul and loves every human he meets. We're having the usual puppy stuff, chewed cables (£100 repair to the alarm 3 weeks ago) and skirting boards, plus occasional presents if I am tardy in taking him out as he can't tell me he needs yet, I must do better. |

Hi John,
welcome to the forum.....looking forward to meeting Mac........sounds like a livewire ( no pun intended )
As for teaching to ask out....well barking winds up the neighbours, scratch damages doors so the best method I have found it to hang an old set of keys or some wind chimes on the door you let the dog out .....just about Macs nose level.....before you open the door for him rattle the keys( wind chime).....he will associate the noise happens then the door opens....within a few days he will know how to ask out without barking or scratching.
