No idea Jean........

Just called to confirm my attendance and the telephone number on the letter is dead! Emails are being bounced back and the website is just a 123reg holding page.......sounds like they are well organised!

Hi John
What about contacting papers and emphasizing the effect on all different walks of life ( young, old vulnerable etc) this decision could have. There is high profile in papers re "dangerous dogs" . Emphasizing the dog classes are promoting responsible dog ownership etc.. Maybe contacting the local news people as well as evening times, record etc? You've probably tried all these avenues but I think it's awfull that they can be do dismissive!!

The Cumbernauld News came up last Thursday and took some photos then ran a full page story on it.
I contacted them again today regarding the letter and my inability to contact the letting division of the new CultureNL trust.

Just back from the meeting.......

Bottom line is that things will stay as they are for 6 months for a consultation period to continue.
The crux seems to be the amount of time that is spent cleaning the hall after we leave and the Council want to charge us for that time.

All in all it went better than I thought.

Read what was on Facebook about the meeting john, sounds good but I'd still be cautious.

There is still the spectre of the Council voting for an outright ban......

It is so ridiculous that this situation is actually happening. Politics overtaking common sense yet again. When things fall apart i.e. too many untrained, unruly dogs with owners who cannot cope with them and nowhere to go for help, these politicians will hold their hands up in bewilderment wondering how on earth the situation could have become so bad. They will be too stupid to look to themselves and see the mess they have caused. Surely well trained dogs and well trained owners equals safer communities for everyone.
I know I'm preaching to the converted here but their logic or lack thereof astounds me!
