that must be horrible for you, skin complaints are sometimes the hardest things to get to the bottom of
ive seen dogs getting tested for allergies, usually only dermatologists will do this, but they clip a large bit of fur away on one side of the dog, and then proceed to inject tiny samples of known irritants (grass, dust etc) into skin in liquid form. directly underneath each injection, sterile water is injected, again, a tiny amount. there are several mms between each injection site and after 5-10minutes, they check all injection sites for reactions, using the water injections as a control. the injections are always given in a specific order so they can tell immediately which has reacted. the dogs are sedated throughout. not for everyone, but it is an option to some people... _________________ your cat will never annoy by barking at 3am, he wont attack the postman or eat the curtains, although he may climb them to see how the room looks from the ceiling... |

I do know that some dog food can cause allergy's. The first sign of a dog food allergy is excessive itching and scratching. Many experts agree that this may indicate that your dog may have some nutritional deficiencies in there diet. If he consistently scratches and the culprit is not fleas, there is a good chance that your dog’s diet is missing. Also carpet cleaner could be a problem, even floor cleaner. Get some aloe vera from Norma. I am going to order us some for Steven bird to see if it will help. |
