Hi Kendal,
I too have been looking for agility classes but to no avail yet.
Still looking though. I think I may have a contact who can help so I will keep you posted. |

I would love to do it with Pixel and when we eventually get our bedlington terrier. Dont bother with the one at Strathclyde Park, they are GSD snobs, 'normal' GSD's just aren't good enough
and I never even got a reply from them after all I have a lurcher, what good are they lol |

Shirley. we went over there last year for a look and I said to John that I thought they were snobby! I didn't like the atmosphere at all. |

We visited Strathclyde Park agility last Summer to watch.......we walked round with the boys who did a good job of ignoring the agility dogs who went absolutely berserk when any dogs came within 50 feet of them.....they were so hyped up......good for agility...bad for behavior! People were looking at us as if we were strange because our dogs were well behaved.
Club funds are good....maybe we should get some weave poles? the floor is quite slippy but should be OK....you know how much they like it when the flyball comes out!

Tunnel used once weave poles still in box. you are welcome to have them or even try them out before buying some. |

are agility dogs harder to controle or dose it depend on how the owner wants the dog to be. |

Mmmm good point, that crossed my mind too.
Worth while finding out beforehand wouldn't it.
I suppose the owners have to get them hyped up to get the best results. If the dog was too calm it may not go round the course as easily or quickly. |

Yeah, they need to get their adrenaline going so they fly around the course...................
that's fine as long as you can tell them to be quiet and sit when they're done!!!!!!!!!! |

i guess it would depend on whether you were in it just for fun with your dog or for the competition.
I'd still like to try it ind see how Gypsy dose and how much she changes. |
