Hi
I was wondering what everyone thinks about each month donating cans of dog food to the dogs trust? They take food donations but only wet food. We could donate a few each every month or just when ever we have it and I could take it up. I donate to the Glasgow branch every month and thought the club would be a great way of recruiting more help.
Just wondered what you think of the idea |

I can't see any logical reason not to help out in this way..they do now recommend us to people who get dogs in our area.
I am out and about in my van and would be happy to drop things in as I pass....I could leave a flyer and some cards as well. _________________ John Thomson

Seems like a good idea, I am really against pet food, but in the circumstances this seem fine.
When the class starts back, those who wanted to donate could bring tins to the class -JUST DONT THINK YOU HAVE ENOUGH TO TAKE HOME WITH YOU EACH TUESDAY JOHN |

I haven't noticed it up here but back in Yorkshire both the RSPCA and Cats protection league had big plastic bins in supermarkets so you could drop off a tin or bag of food on your way past.
I have a large bag of beta puppy dry food sat here doing nothing, but its opened and obviously dry food. I think I will just bin it to be honest.
I think its a great idea for local groups to help the dogs trust! |

I think that's a good idea too. If when the club starts back anyone wishing to donate food hands it in then perhaps once a month or so John can drop it off at Dogs Trust. |

Glad you guys like the idea
I sponsor two dogs and one of them is in the Glasgow branch, I visit every month. Glad they will have a bit of extra support from the club. |

Hi All
I have delivered the clubs £60 to the Dogs Trust, Glasgow
Good idea to leave some flyers on the advertising table, (once we get the new ones printed). An area is available with a table set out within the reception area at Dogs Trust.
The advertising table has lots flyers, cards and posters from different clubs, kennels etc for people to help themselves to
Very impressive place

Since classes start back on Tuesday I thought I would just bump this thread again so if anyone is interested they can bring some can's of food with them to the classes. _________________ Dogs are like Chocolate, you just can't have one! |
