Kirsty, Hope the big chap is OK!? It will be hard, but you will be glad of keeping him in after-wards in couple of weeks time. Sooooo frustrating all these cut paws thou!!! The dog boots sound good, but can you imagine!? Cant see Tikka taking to them, although it is a shame i now try often to avoid the Glen!? _________________ Barry, Kylie & Jay with precious Rotti Tikka |

Dodge is beginning to climb the walls. Up until last night he didn't seem to want go out. He was limping heavily and I think in a bit of pain with his paw. But, last night Lindsey took Bob out and Dodge went into his bed in the huff and wouldn't look at anyone.
Lindsay left the back gate open last night, and when I let Dodge out for a PP this morning he done a runner, and came back 10 mins later panting. So who knows what damage he has don't to that paw.
He is lying huffing and puffing and running to the front door any time anyone makes a move.
I was hoping to take bob to training classes, but Lindsay is going out to watch the cup final and I don't want to leave Dodge in without bob or anyone else in the house. So am giving the classes a miss this week |

aww poor sole, hope he gets on the mend soon, nothing worse than being house bound. you should teach him a new trick to do in the house to keep him occupied, perhaps loading the dishwasher or hoovering. |

Hi Kirsty
sorry to hear about Dodge's accident, hopefully he'll be out and about strutting his stuff again soon
why don't you teach him some tricks or something to keep him amused while he's not allowed out to play

Missed you and the boys today, Kirsty. I hope things settle down with Dodge. It is understandable that he is frustrated. Take care. _________________ Regards,

In the long run, you will be glad you beared with it. I had to do this with Tikka for a week, it was very hard! It will just prolong if he moves about or goes walks, its a shame... for both of yous! Try stimulate his mind in other ways just now, with some training indoors...??? Just a suggestion, thats what i tried with Tikka seemed to help.. if what just a little!!! _________________ Barry, Kylie & Jay with precious Rotti Tikka |

Thanks Lynn.
I wont be taking him. I think I add to his stress as he picks up on my anxiety and panic. So Lindsay will take him.
It should be better today cause the vet has given us sedatives to give him an hour before he goes. |

Dodge back from the vets. What a nightmare all down to a wee cut paw. I am sick of it. He has to go back on Thursday again, and be put through all that stress again.
He still cant go out and he is getting even more distressed.
To go out in the garden, he needs a plastic cover over his dressing, and this cant stay on all the time it will sweat his paw and slow down healing. Every time he needs to go out we have to drag him from his hiding place to get his bandage covered. He is so smart he seems to know when this is and does a runner.
I am breaking his antibiotics up into tiny bits into his dinner, and he is eating round the pill pieces.
Tonight I was trying to give him his sedatives in laughing cow and he wouldn't take it - he issuspicious of getting titbits. I am just worried as this seems to be changing his wee personality.
