how many of you kick out your husband, son, dad or brother on new years eve just before the bells with a bag of shopping some coal and some money in their pocket to first foot the house after the bells _________________ microchiping and grooming www.chipnclip.co.uk

never heard of it and sounds stupid... on new years you welcome the new year in by cross linking arms and drink!
new year resolution too! _________________ Quoting Jack: you know me - a complete hopeless case & Sadly - and mark it in your diaries folks as you won't see this happen often - but <gulp> I HAVE to agree with Dave on this.

We rarely celebrate New Year to be honest in our home. We have a takeaway and a few drinks but that's it. Usually we are in bed well before midnight snuggling up with the doggies and praying for the blasted fireworks to end This year Mark was snoring on the sofa by 11 so it was just me and the bitches
I don't know what it is but my lot all seem to prefer being in bed in our bedroom when fireworks are going off - their anxiety levels are MUCH lower - I have no idea why as the noise is just as evident - perhaps it's where they feel most comfortable and safe?
As a child however yes we did the whole "man" of the house has to leave through the one door and reenter through the other guff - never brought me any luck so it's not a tradition I stick to - and the New Years resolutions......never made one that I lasted more than a week at so gave them up as a bad joke to _________________ Staffies are my life!
